About the Role:
We are looking for a driven, customer focused agri-professional for permanent Agri Manager role based out of our Seadown Store or Waimate Office.
Our Agri Managers are trained and trusted advisors helping farmers get the most from their soil, pasture, crops and animals while assisting them to transition towards environmentally sustainable practices. Also helping to reduce their environmental impacts and optimise value from the land through the provision of nutrient advice, services and products.
As a key link to our farmers you'll have an important part to play in the success of their business; serving up the products, support and innovative solutions our farmers have come to rely on us for. Of course, this means the bulk of your time will be spent on farm , identifying farmers' needs, selling tailored solutions, and strengthening relationships based on trust, credibility and mutual respect. The role is based out of the Seadown Store and /or Waimate Office, covering a good mix of large-scale Dairy, Arale cropping and extensive Sheep and Beef customers in the surrounding area.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and implement a programme for visiting current and prospective customers, assessing their requirements and advising them on the most appropriate products and services, thus achieving sales targets.
Utilise the available technology to give maximum benefit to Ravensdown shareholders in terms of profitability and environmental leadership.
Create a plan to reduce their environmental impacts and optimise value from the land.
Ensure that end users' needs, and expectations are met through the continuous development of abilities and knowledge.
About You: While helping farmers increase their profitability is a key focus of this role, you're set for some impressive growth of your own. Because in terms of growing your career, there's no better way to get more from your agronomic qualification and/or your existing industry experience. Not to mention your knowledge of soil fertility and farming systems. Ideal Skills & Experience:
A can do attitude
Sound knowledge of farms systems
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
Understanding of changing landscape of New Zealand environmental policy and its implications for farmers
Tech savvy with knowledge of agricultural technology systems
Ideally a Bachelor's degree in agriculture or related qualification
