This scholarship is available to a first year Nursing, OT, Physiotherapy, Midwife or similar health professional.

For young persons residing in the Waimate District and undertaking formal apprentice or trainee training in any trade or skill. The Rotary Waimate & Debonaire Trust provides financial or material assistance in an apprenticeship or educational grants for specialist subjects, music and the arts or grants to assist Waimate youth organisations with special projects.
$2000 is available and application forms are provided via email requests to waimaterotarysecretary@gmail.com
Applications open in March and close in April annually.
Established through the Aoraki Foundation by the St Andrews Golf Club for youth living in or who were born in the wider St Andrews area. Open to young people (under 18 years of age at the time of application) in pursuit of sporting, cultural or academic excellence.
The applications close early December each year and applicants are notified in mid January. The scholarships predominantly have a value of up to $2000.

Students undertaking vocational study in order to return to the workplace or training for a new career or have been unable to take up study until now.
Up to $1500 for residents of South Canterbury.
Open during October each year. Applications are distributed to local high schools.

For students residing in the Waimate, Waitaki and Timaru Districts. Target education or training that can lead to a career in the dairy industry or that has potential to enhance relationships between NZ and China.
$3000 per year for up to three years of study, as well as paid work experience during study or training breaks.
Application details are distributed to schools in October and close mid November each year.
Scholarship applications are open to people wanting to develop their career in the food or red meat industry with interests in; red meat, food production, agriculture, food marketing, marketing and sales, finance, innovation, research and development, food processing, sustainability, cooking and food technology.
Six scholarships of $5000 are available nationwide.

Our personal development grants help South Cantabrians striving to attain excellence in their field of endeavour. As we're local first, the grants are given out to those who reside in the Alpine Energy electricity distribution area. Grants are awarded within a mix of cultural, sporting or community activities, but not for tertiary education studies.
Application dates are annually 01 March - 31 April & 01 September - 30 October.
